Waas gives swimming website inside scoop on CUA August 18, 2010 CUA head swimming coach Paul Waas has been a busy man of late. The Cardinals leader was interviewed by swimutopia, a website dedicated to bringing the swimming community together on all levels, and Waas then allowed the site to tour the Catholic University campus and swimming facilities.

Swimming teams honored for academic work July 7, 2010 The Catholic University men’s and women’s swimming teams were recently named to the 2010 College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team. The CSCAA selects and honors teams as Scholar All American Teams twice a year, once after each semester.

Four CUA Athletes Named to Landmark Winter All-Academic Team April 6, 2010 The Landmark Conference announced this week that 32 student-athletes were selected to the 2010 Winter Landmark All-Academic Team. Among the 32 honorees were four CUA students: Lisa Brooks, Darrell Carroll, Brielle Crites, and Kris Reynolds.

Each year, a non-profit organization called Wreaths Across America honors fallen U.S. veterans by placing over 100,000 wreathes in more than 300 locations nationwide. The group preaches one message: “Remember the fallen; Honor those who serve; Teach our children the value of freedom.”

Tull Honored as Hometown Hero for Swift Water Rescue
While most NCAA football players can often be found lifting weights or downing powdery protein shakes, Catholic University of America sophomore John Tull discovered another way to spend his offseason. The Pennsylvania native has worked as a volunteer firefighter for the last five years for the Middletown Fire Company in Media, Pa.
