CUA Sweeps Mary Baldwin

The Catholic University softball team swept Mary Baldwin Thursday afternoon, beating the Fighting Squirrels by scores of 14-0 and 12-2. With the wins, CUA improves to 7-5 on the year. A combination of excellent pitching and tough defensive play in the outfield have been the team’s bread and butter, as CUA has given up just four runs in the last five games.
Cardinals Cruizes Past Mary Washington in Home Opener

The Catholic University softball squad (5-5) began its home schedule on the right foot with a pair of wins over Mary Washington (4-10) on Wednesday afternoon. The Cardinals blanked the Eagles 2-0 in the first game, and went on to win game two 6-1.
Softball Announces 2010 Winter Instructional Camp

Head coach Bruce McConkey announced today that the CUA softball staff will host a winter instructional camp on four dates in January 2010.

Tull Honored as Hometown Hero for Swift Water Rescue While most NCAA football players can often be found lifting weights or downing powdery protein shakes, Catholic University of America sophomore John Tull discovered another way to spend his offseason. The Pennsylvania native has worked as a volunteer firefighter for the last five years for the Middletown Fire Company in Media, Pa.
