Travis Beauchamp is in his fourth year at the helm of the CUA men's soccer program.  In 2009 he led the Cardinals to new heights, as they established a school record with 16 victories, and also captured their first-ever Landmark Conference championship with a 3-0 victory over Scranton.  With that win, CUA qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school annals.  From an individual standpoint, four of Beauchamp’s student-athletes received All-Landmark Conference honors, including Matt Brady, who went on to earn First-Team All-American and All-Region recognition, while Quinn Daly and Tim McAneny were named ECAC South Region All-Stars.    

Since arriving at Catholic, Beauchamp has worked tirelessly to build a winning program. After going 6-10 in his first season with a young squad, the Cardinals were 14-7 during the 2008 campaign. At the time, the 14 wins were a school record for the Cardinals, as they advanced to their first Landmark Conference championship game, then followed that with a run to the ECAC South Region championship game - the program's first postseason berth in over two decades. For their efforts in 2008, Beauchamp and his assistant coaches were named the Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Coaching Staff of the Year.

Beauchamp was hired in March of 2007; he also works as an operations assistant at CUA in the athletic department doing game-day setup and various projects around the DuFour Center.

Prior to arriving at Catholic, Beauchamp worked as an assistant coach at USMMA for three seasons. The Mariners posted winning seasons during his time on campus with a combined record of 46-11-4 and the coaching staff was honored with a Skyline Conference Coaching Staff of the Year award. Beauchamp's main duties included training, recruiting, scouting and video editing. He also served as the goalkeeper's coach and under his leadership had his players earn three All-Metro Region Goalkeeper awards.

The Warsaw, Va., native played soccer and baseball at Washington College earning all-conference and all-region honors. Beauchamp's class at Washington moved into the record books posting the most wins in school history over a four-year career. He received bachelor's and master's degrees in history from Washington and served as an assistant soccer coach for the Shoremen during graduate school.

Beauchamp resides in Washington, D.C., with his wife, Dimitry.



Mike Corrigan
Title:Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

Mike Corrigan returns to Catholic University for his eighth season with the Cardinals. Corrigan was a standout midfielder for CUA earning captain, team MVP and Harris Cup honors his senior season. His graduating class still remains CUA's all time winningest group and he holds the men's soccer record for all-time minutes played. He received a bachelor's degree in electric engineering in May of 2003.

Corrigan graduated from James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury, Md., where he was an all-conference performer his junior and senior years in soccer and captained the soccer and basketball teams. He also played on the MD East Region ODP team. When he is not coaching, he works at Northrop Grumman and is currently pursuing a dual degree in business administration and technology management from the University of Maryland. Prior to taking his position at CUA, Corrigan worked at a number of soccer camps all over the east coast, including University of Hartford Soccer Camp, Southern Connecticut Soccer School and the Rumsey Hall Soccer Academy.

Corrigan assists in all aspects of the program. He resides in Silver Spring, Md.



Adam Guzzo
Title:Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

2010 will be Adam Guzzo's fifth season as an assistant coach and the primary goalkeeper coach for the Catholic University men's soccer program. Guzzo is a 2005 graduate of Vanderbilt University where he received his bachelor's degree in political science and was a member of the varsity soccer team. During his time at Vanderbilt, he also started and played for two Professional Development League teams.

Before transferring to Vanderbilt, Guzzo attended Rhodes College where he was the starting goalkeeper during his sophomore season.

Guzzo graduated from Hoover High School in Birmingham, Ala., where he was a First Team All State selection his senior year. He played club ball at Vestavia Soccer Club and was a member of the Region III Olympic Development Program pool.

Guzzo currently resides in Arlington, Va.



Erik Wyche
Title:Assistant Coach

Erik Wyche is in his third season as a part of the Catholic University coaching staff. He played four years at CUA as a defender and was captain of the team during his senior season as well as being nominated for the prestigious Harris Cup award. Wyche graduated in 2007 with an undergraduate degree in architecture and received his master's degree in architecture in 2009.

Wyche graduated from Cherokee High School in Marlton, N.J., where he won a New Jersey Group IV State Championship in 2001. Wyche was also an all-conference and All-South Jersey performer in both his junior and senior seasons and served as the defensive captain his final year.

Outside of Catholic University, Wyche works at the well-known architecture firm Ellerbe Becket, located in the heart of Washington, D.C. He also volunteers for Street Soccer USA, an organization that teaches the homeless about the game of soccer.

He currently resides in Silver Spring, Md.



Nate Kish
Title:Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

Nate Kish is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Catholic University men’s soccer program.   He came to CUA from Capital University in Ohio where he served as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s soccer programs in 2009.  During his time there, Kish helped lead the Crusader men to the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament championship and a spot in the NCAA Tournament, and he helped guide the women to 13 victories and an appearance in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals. 

Prior to his time at Capital University, Kish served as the graduate assistant coach for the men’s soccer program at Frostburg State University for two years.  During that time the Bobcats advanced to the semifinals of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament on two occasions and appeared in the 2007 ECAC Tournament championship match. 

Kish, who holds a NSCAA National Diploma, earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health Education from Capital University in 2007.  He then earned a master’s of education degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2008 from Frostburg State University.
