CUA to Induct Five Into Athletic Hall of Fame
The Office of Alumni Relations and Department of Athletics at The Catholic University of American announce the Athletic Hall of Fame class of 2009. Representing four generations of Catholic University athletics, the class of 2009 is as follows: Jacqualine Brooks (82, Cross Country), Maj. Gen. Donald Lamontagne (69, Football and Baseball), Stanley Levy (50, Tennis and Cross Country), Tim McCormick (77, Baseball), and Mike Stotz (81, Football). The inductees were selected by a committee consisting of CUA alumni, university administrators and athletic department staff and will be recognized at a luncheon reception on Jan. 16, 2010, on the CUA campus. CUA Releases Fall Sports Schedules
The Catholic University of America Department of Athletics released a majority of the fall athletics schedules Monday. The 2009-2010 school year marks CUA's third year in the Landmark Conference. After a very successful fall in 2008, the Cardinals are looking to repeat or improve on their already high marks. With the womens soccer, mens soccer, and field hockey teams all reaching championship games in 2008, the bar has been set high. This year the Cardinals have their sights on even greater achievements.
