CUA football team set to kick off 2010 season on Saturday night The Catholic University football team is set to kick off its 2010 season on Saturday evening as the Cardinals head to Virginia to take on the Shenandoah Hornets inside Sprint Field underneath the lights. CUA is 3-1 under head coach Dave Dunn in season openers, including a perfect 2-0 mark on the road.
CUA rolls past Virginia Wesleyan 13-0 in opener The Catholic University field hockey team opened its 2010 season in style on Wednesday afternoon as the Cardinals rolled past Virginia Wesleyan by a score of 13-0 at home. Emma Dixon and Mary Swarthout scored three goals apiece for CUA, while Kendall Petschauer found the back of the cage twice and handed out three assists.
Cardinals get 2010 season off to strong start with 5-1 win The CUA women’s soccer team got its 2010 season off to a strong start on Wednesday afternoon as the Cardinals downed Marymount 5-1 at home. Regina Zolbrod scored twice for CUA, while Ellen Jansen handed out a pair of assists.

Each year, a non-profit organization called Wreaths Across America honors fallen U.S. veterans by placing over 100,000 wreathes in more than 300 locations nationwide. The group preaches one message: “Remember the fallen; Honor those who serve; Teach our children the value of freedom.”

Tull Honored as Hometown Hero for Swift Water Rescue
While most NCAA football players can often be found lifting weights or downing powdery protein shakes, Catholic University of America sophomore John Tull discovered another way to spend his offseason. The Pennsylvania native has worked as a volunteer firefighter for the last five years for the Middletown Fire Company in Media, Pa.
