Matt McKelvey joined the Cardinal staff as an assistant trainer in the summer of 2007. McKelvey came to CUA from California University of Pennsylvania. He holds certifications as an athletic trainer and performance enhancement specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
The Troy, Mich., native received his bachelor's degree from Albion College in athletic training. He then went on to California University of Pennsylvania where he got his master's degree in athletic training. While at Cal U of Pa., McKelvey worked at Peters Township High School in McMurray, Pa., as a trainer.
McKelvey will serve as the head trainer for a number of sports
here at CUA. He resides in Silver Spring, Md.
